Giovanni is a curious and enthusiastic boy from Northern Italy, passionate about music, especially Rap and Hip-Hop, which is one of his main reasons for wanting to experience life in the USA, the birthplace of this culture. He is excited to immerse himself in a new environment and broaden his cultural horizons, as well as improve his English. Giovanni is an open-minded individual, eager to discover more about American sports and culture, and is looking forward to contributing positively to his host family by sharing his Italian culture, including cooking traditional dishes like "carbonara" or "amatriciana." Becoming an exchange student represents a personal and cultural growth opportunity that he believes will help him learn new things about himself and explore new academic subjects during his stay.

Meet Liviu, he is excited to start his USA experience with his Host Family. He wants to immerse himself in its diverse culture and education system, as well as the overall USA High School experience. He would love to join a drama club; he has always been passionate about acting and expressing himself. Participating in theater will not only allow him to express himself creatively, but also connect with others. Liviu is also eager to join the track and field team, he loves sports, especially running. Being part of a team will help him push his limits and stay active and build strong friendships. He is so thankful for this opportunity and the openness of his host family to say YES!

Albin is an easy-going individual whose friends often describe him as independent and determined. Embracing the unexpected for its potential to bring pleasant surprises, Albin enjoys a spontaneous approach to life. Residing with his parents, brother, and a beloved cat, Albin has a passion for sports, having played football for 11 years, badminton for 2 years, and tennis for 5 years. His enthusiasm for physical activity extends to cycling and running. Aspiring to become a sports reporter, he is eager to blend his love for athletics and personal knowledge. Albin's zest for life also includes a passion for travel and cultural exploration. His family once hosted a student from the Faroe Islands, an experience that sparked his interest in becoming an exchange student himself. He is particularly excited about the opportunity to study in the USA, as he anticipates the cultural differences between America and Europe. Additionally, he sees this as a prime opportunity to improve his English skills. Albin looks forward to experiencing life beyond Europe and hopes these words encourage you to welcome him into your home, promising a shared journey filled with discovery and joy!

Ornella has dreamed of coming to America for 8 years now, and when this opportunity to study abroad arose, she knew that it was meant for her and to make her dream come true. Ornella loves to hang out with her friends, organize girls nights, and raclette nights, which is a dish made with cheese and cold cuts. She is excited to share her French culture with her new host family by making them a French dish or cake. She enjoys to travel and experience new places and cultures. When Ornella gets older, she wants to become a flight attendant in order to mix her passion for traveling with a career. Her favorite thing to enjoy is the natural beauty of a sunrise and sunset, she sometimes will even wake up at 5am to see the sunrise. Lina lives with her father, mother, grandmother, sister, and brother, whom she loves spending time with. She enjoys listening to Queen, The Beatles, Scorpions, and Pink Floyd. She likes to go for walks, especially around the city and to the new park in the city center. Lina is an active participant in an art club, where she likes to paint. She hopes to use this love of art in her future profession. Lina likes to spend her free time exercising to help clear her mind and refresh herself. She helps her mom in the kitchen and keeping their home clean. 

Deniza is a passionate and driven student with a diverse set of interests that reflect both her creative and analytical sides. She has a strong love for fencing, poetry, and singing, and the expression of her emotions through art. When she's not immersed in the world of music and poetry, Deniza is captivated by the realm of computer programming and aerospace, where her curiosity fuels her desire to make inventions and explore new discoveries. A natural inventor at heart, Deniza dreams of becoming an aerospace engineer, where she hopes to push the boundaries of innovation and technology. Her love for learning extends to regular trips to the library, where she devours books on topics that inspire her. Outside of academics, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially while playing board games, and unwinding with TV shows or dancing to her favorite tunes. Deniza values meaningful connections and enjoys walking in the park with friends, appreciating both the outdoors and the moments spent with others. With her blend of creativity, intellect, and determination, she is always looking forward to the next challenge or opportunity to make a lasting impact on the world.

Meet Aylin from Turkmenistan! She lives with her aunt and sometimes gets to see her mom, who lives in a different city, and her dad lives in another country, but she talks to both her parents often. Aylin wants to be a doctor because she loves helping people. She even volunteers at a humanitarian organization. Aylin is super friendly and can make friends with everyone. She loves spending time with her two best friends. Plus, she loves baking sweets with others. Aylin is also an animal lover and likes both cats and dogs. She is very excited to learn about the culture here and share her own culture, country, and yummy food. Hosting Aylin will be a great experience full of fun and learning for everyone!

Maelis eagerly anticipates joining a host family in the U.S. Her friends describe her as kind, generous, funny, and sociable. She has a passion for dancing, having practiced since she was 4 years old, and dances every day at her high school. Maelis is excited about the possibility of continuing her dance practice in the U.S., hoping to explore new styles and share her love of dance with her new community. Additionally, she loves meeting new people, spending time with family and friends, and has an interest in languages and cultures. She dreams of speaking English fluently and says, "I am always in a good mood and I give it to people around me in order to make them smile too." She also loves spending time with young kids. Maelis looks forward to making new friends and experiencing American culture.

Fahd describes himself as an extroverted artistic soul. He has a love for art but also sports. He comes from a very close family of 4 and they have a love for travel, but also spend time together playing board games, movie nights, and just being together as a family. Fahd has priorities and plans to become a dentist, he has always wanted to be in the medical field. He also might want to teach chemistry or biology as a side job. Fahd enjoys basketball, inline skating, reading or writing short novels, drawing, and cooking. He is active in school and participates in school plays. He is hoping this exchange year will help him to gain more independence and more knowledge and experience about the world.
