Interests

Swimming, school debate club, sewing, crochet, embroidering, fashion - BC

Letter to my Host Family

I am the oldest in my big family, consisting of my parents, three younger sisters, grandma, cousin, and my aunt. I feel like I have a special relationship with my parents, compared to my younger sisters. This is probably because I am the oldest and most dependable. I have been a swimmer off and on my whole life. I met my best friend, two years ago, at swimming. Currently though, swimming is no longer a priority for both of us, because of our busy schedules. I feel like my best friend is my older sister. When we are together, we always understand each other, and everything seems peaceful. We do not see each other often but we talk on the phone each day. In my free time, I sew, crochet, embroider, or anything else related to handcrafting with textiles, threads, and yarns. Fashion and appearance have always been important to me. I dream of becoming a designer and building my own brand. I am in the debate club at school. Debate has piqued my interest in geopolitics, international relations, human rights, and international law. I have always been talkative and believe that communication is the key to everything. To my future host family, I hope to gain another family, one crossing the limits of time zones, oceans, long flights, and language barriers. I believe we will get along great from the start. I cannot wait to meet you. Love your future host kid.

Interests

Being outdoors, soccer, gaming, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends - LS

Letter to my Host Family

I live in a small village, and alternate weeks between living with my mom and my dad since they are separated. I have three biological siblings and three bonus brothers, as we call it. I love being around siblings, and since I help take care of my younger brother, I know what it’s like to be a supportive big brother. I also still spend a lot of time with my older brothers, even though they’ve moved out. I have wanted to be an exchange student since I was in the ninth grade. Exploring different cultures and sharing my culture in the U.S. is exciting. I love playing soccer, video games, going to the gym with my friends, and watching TV series and films. I love spending time with people I know or those I am just meeting. I always greet each person with a smile and rarely ever complain. My friends describe me as helpful, fun to be around, and caring. I always want the best for others, and I try to be someone people can rely on.
